Balancing

Equipment-assisted balancing, shaft balancing and equipment balancing

Proton-Balans and CSI 2130

Balancing is a process of defining the rotor unbalance angle and reducing it via mass correction (e.g. equipment shafts balancing). New shafts and repaired shafts, rotors or rotor wheels must be subjected to balancing.

Design of machines and mechanisms is trying to reduce harmful vibrations by employing correct solutions in construction and manufacturing techniques, gain weight symmetry of all moving parts by adjustments (balancing). Nevertheless, symmetry-breaking conditions resulting in imbalance are intrinsic in manufacturing and operation. In order to reduce imbalance intrinsic in production, repair and operation, they balance rotation bodies (equipment shafts) by altering their mass or geometry (static or dynamic equipment shaft balancing).

Appropriate equipment shaft balancing increases life of blades and rotor wheels by 23-100%, increases useful capacity of rotor wheels by 10-25%. Balancing increases diamond wheel endurance 3 times, and reduces the corrugation of the surfaces being processed 4 times. Equipment balancing must be performed for all cylinder parts or symmetrical about the rotation axis parts (shafts). Similar examples may be given for products of all industry branches. If you need a one-time balancing, then it makes sense to invite balancing experts from our technical maintenance department.

Equipment shaft balancing with PROTON-BALANS-II

Reasonably priced “Proton-Balans-II” kit emerged as a modification and improvement of previous shaft balancing instruments. Balance weight is the major reason for increased level of vibration and consequent heat of bearing units. A new multifunctional kit “Proton-Balans-II” will make it easier to balance shafts of various machines and mechanisms in their own bearings. This kit emerged to assist maintenance crews of mechanics and power engineers. However, it is user-friendly, unpretentious to environment and multifunctional at the same time. Shaft balancing consists of three stages: measurement of initial vibration and phase, test run, calculation and installation of balance weights (balancing). Additionally, vector calculator allows composition and subtraction of vectors, if necessary. More than 300 “Proton-Balans-II” kits are being used in various branches of industry.

Shaft balancing with Vibration Analyser CSI 2130

Four-plane shaft balancing with Vibration Analyser CSI 2130 is performed with high precision and efficiency within 20-30 minutes only. Shafts, rotors, rotor wheels etc balancing is performed automatically. Balancing cycle consists of four stages: measurement of initial vibration, measurement of amplitude and phase with test weight, automatic calculation and installation of balance weight, accurate elimination of residual unbalance. Internationally, industrial equipment shaft balancing is performed with balancing kits based on Vibration Analyser CSI 2130 and expert diagnostic software, capable of maintaining a general database and standard reports for balancing and vibration diagnostics. This portable balancing set featuring state-of-the-art latest-generation microprocessors allow solving the majority of tasks of modern vibration control, profound vibration diagnostics and balancing of shafts of any industrial equipment, even low-speed ones. The function of equipment shaft balancing (blades, rotary wheels etc) ensures high-quality vibration adjustment of machines and mechanisms together with the centering systems. The new platform is a leader among all the shaft balancing devices in the global market.
